Maple Banana Oat Squares Recipe (Gluten Free, Vegan, Top 9 Free)

Banana Maple Gluten Free Oat Squares by The Allergy Chef (Vegan, Top 9 Allergy Free)

It’s another RAISE Kid recipe! A sweet kiddo reached out wanting to know if there was a way to make the Honey Chocolate Oat Squares safe for them. Interestingly, this child can’t have honey or chocolate, so it was a fun challenge indeed.

This particular kiddo has a short list of safe ingredients, but, enough ingredients to pull together something amazing and delicious. In fact, Kid Three says this recipe is a TEN, and with a pop of finishing salt, it’s an eleven. An 11!!!

Unlike the chocolate squares, these squares don’t have the same texture. They’re softer and are closer to a chewy granola bar or a really interesting cookie. None of the tasters minded the change in texture though.

More than anything, I’m just so excited that something made for someone with such limited options was a smashing success. In fact, Kid Two says these taste better than store bought options 🎉
