Why Not Use Gluten Free Soy Sauce?

Want to know something awful? The most popular gluten free soy sauce on the market is made on shared equipment with wheat (more about this next week). What about coconut aminos you ask… Same deal. All but one company (that’s not sold in stores) is made on wheat free equipment. Remember, when dealing with severe allergies, you can’t just read the label, you have to call as well.

So What Are The Differences?

The difference between traditional chicken chow mein and gluten free soy free chicken chow mein comes down to the noodles and the sauce. I know… two BIG components. Yet, if you’re willing to take a leap, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Here’s What Everyone Had to Say

The Papa: It’s not like traditional chicken chow mein, but BETTER. The kids are saying this is like eating Heaven. Perhaps this is Chinatown in Heaven. Honestly, this is a great alternative if you can’t have the normal ingredients. Traditional chow mein noodles are harder than what you’ve served. But! This is a great blend of what you would find in chicken chow mein, and I love how smooth your flavor is.

Did you hear that?? BETTER 🙂

Kid Two: Oh my goodness. It just melts in my mouth and is amazing!!

Kid Three: Everything here is good, but it’s not chow mein. It looks like Chinese food, but it doesn’t quite taste like it. Kind of how cup of noodles looks like Chinese food but doesn’t taste like it. Tam’s (a Chinese restaurant) IS Chinese food. The noodles there are really thick and dry. These noodles are much more soft, but in a good way. Also, their chicken is usually more dry, so you did a good job on the chicken.

Kid Four: This is amazing. Can I eat the photo bowl??

There you have it. Gluten Free, Soy Free, Top 8 Allergy Free Chicken Chow Mein Memories have been given quite the seal of approval. What warms my heart is knowing that three of the people sampling can have traditional ingredients and love this version. Inclusion mission success!!
