Gluten Free, Egg Free, Vegan Special Sauce by The Allergy Chef

Lately I’ve been on a condiment kick, and this latest recipe I’ve been told is SO delicious. You can have this egg free allergy friendly special sauce whipped up in less than 5 minutes. The kids have tested it with several items, including these Black Bean Patties and have really enjoyed it. The real compliment was from Kid Three (who is obsessed with thousand island) when he told me how much he enjoyed this sauce.

An Allergy Note on Mayo

Vegan Mayo will contain soy or other legumes to create the rich texture that’s synonymous with mayo. Follow Your Heart offers options that are made on dairy free equipment (which is critical for us), and the allergen chart on their website is fantastic. The aquafaba mayo from Sir Kensington has super clean ingredients which I love, but shared equipment means it isn’t for us.

We’ve also assumed (for the Allergy Status) that your commercially available mayo will contain lemon (citrus) and mustard (seed/cruciferous), as these are common ingredients.
