Merry Christmas everyone!!!!! It’s the last review of 2018, can you believe the year has zoomed by? To celebrate, we thought a review of cookies would be ever so appropriate. Plus, Birthday Cake. I mean, can we just take a moment to be excited about a cookie that’s birthday cake… Partake Foods is owned by some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, and like many of the new food allergy friendly companies on the market, they have the same story as us: they have a child with food allergies and wanted to make sure there’s something delicious and safe on the market for their kid.
We are totally fans of the original three flavors of Partake Foods cookies, and you can also purchase them on Amazon (use the code PARTAKE6 to save 10% on a 6 pack Amazon order). If you like crunchy cookies, grab a box or five 🙂 Partake Foods cookies are VERY allergy friendly. They’re top 8 allergy free, gluten free, vegan, and more. We like to crush them and use them like a graham cracker crust for cheesecake.
Today we had two taste testers sampling the newest flavors of Partake Foods cookies: Double Chocolate Chip and Birthday Cake
Kid Four: I like Birthday Cake the best. It’s sweeter than the Double Chocolate Chip. The Double Chocolate Chip cookie has a bitter chocolate flavor, and it’s not a terrible cookie. I’m personally not a fan of dark chocolate.
Kid Three: WOW! These cookies are amazing. I can’t decide which I like better (I totally pressed him for an answer, and he still couldn’t decide).
I really enjoy the sweetness of the Birthday Cake Cookies, even though it’s a little on the crumbly side. The addition of the sprinkles was a wonderful surprise.
I agree with Kid Four that the Double Chocolate Chip cookie is on the bitter side. However, I find it to be a tasty bitter, as I do enjoy dark chocolate.
Overall, I’d rate them both as an 8.5 out of 10.
So there you have it folks, these are good cookies. If you’re new to Partake Foods, I’d strongly suggest getting a variety pack and trying each of the flavors they currently have on offer. Be sure to try them with a safe milk 🙂
UPDATE: I wanted you all to know just how much they liked the cookies. We were packing for vacation and it was time to grab car snacks. They both brought their boxes of Partake Foods cookies.
The ginger snaps are awful. Very dry and they don’t taste like ginger snaps.
Lisa, thanks for letting me know! So, the kids don’t like ginger, generally speaking and I never know if it’s them, or the product. Have you tried the birthday cake flavour? Kid Two says the new lemon flavour is possibly the best one they’ve ever made. If either of those sound good to you, it might be worth trying. Is there something specific you’re looking for in a free-from cookie? We might know of a brand that could work for you.
