This was an interesting Valentine’s Day purchase. I’m not sure if No Whey has these around every year, but in case they do, you’ll know what they’re all about for next time. Along with these freeze dried chocolate covered strawberries, I also purchased the red and white Choco-No-Nos because they looked super cute in the tube. I’m pretty sure it’s the standard candy repackaged, but it sure was cute and arrived in time for Valentine’s Day.
Kid Two: This is interesting… They feel unnaturally light in my hand. *Takes bite* This candy is very dry. Even though I’m unsure about these, I’d still eat them if you gave it to me. The chocolate coating on the outside reminds me of fruit leather. Chocolate leather, that could be a thing, right?
K2 Update: After snacking on these here and there for a few days, he decided that he likes them, and is glad I made the purchase. Whilst it’s not his fave No Whey product, it’s still good.
The Papa: You have to eat these differently. I’m going to suck on it rather than chew it… seems better that way. Not may favourite product from No Whey.
Kid Four: I don’t like it. It’s too dry.
The Takeaway
They all agreed that they’d rather have a fresh strawberry dipped in chocolate. Oh well, I tried. I will say, for the price, this isn’t something we’d purchase again. I’d much rather purchase the Signature Collection from No Whey since they love that product.
However, I know that some of you out there are going to enjoy these, and that’s what I appreciate about No Whey. They make amazing dairy free, soy free chocolate that’s top 8 free, vegan, and choose to cater to a range of preferences. Honestly, they’re one of the best free-from companies out there in my opinion.
