Late July Grain Free Sea Salt Cracker Review

Late July Grain Free Crackers by The Allergy Chef

We’ve reviewed another of the newer offerings from Late July! This time it’s their gluten free and grain free cracker. I wish I could tell you more about these, but it looks like the kids aren’t huge fans.

I will say this though: take these opinions with a grain of salt (haha). Their taste buds are NOT use to these types of ingredients, especially without being joined/masked by other flavours. If you’re grain free and use to eating this way, I think this is one of those awesome breakthrough products because now you don’t have to make crackers at home. If you don’t need these ingredients, there are other brands the kids think you’ll enjoy much more.

The Papa: It’s a plain cracker that doesn’t have a bad aftertaste. It would be good in a lunchable type of situation. These crackers would also pair well with a range of cheeses and meats too.

Kid Two: These are good, and kind of like a plain cracker. As I wondered if I liked them I realized I had eaten several… so I think it’s safe to say that I like them. I don’t know if I’d eat them all the time though. I think I like the Mary’s ones we buy better.

Kid Four: I don’t like them.

The fact that The Papa says there’s no bad aftertaste is a GREAT sign in my opinion, and clearly these are worth trying at least once. I could also see these being used as an alternative to bread crumbs, or even crushed on top of a casserole.

Whilst the reviews above may seem promising, no one wanted these crackers in their snack bin, so for me, that’s the tell tale sign that they may be good for a few bites in the moment, but not for the long haul. If this is a product that works for your household, I genuinely hope you have a better time with these crackers than we did.
