Today I’m going to show you how to decorate a cake using the grass tip from Wilton (233). This tip requires a lot of patience, as the flow of frosting is not nearly as great as other tips you may be use to working with. When using tip 233, it’s CRITICAL that you not overfill your bag. If your forearm(s) have to fight the amount of frosting on top of the openings in the tip, you’ll end up hurting yourself.
When working with Wilton tip 233, your frosting needs to be the right consistency. Too stiff, and you won’t be able to decorate. Too runny and you’ll have an awful mess on your hands (and cake). Be sure to watch the How To Make Vanilla Frosting video is you don’t know where to start. There are recipes on that page as well.
