I just love being able to purchase a wide range of seasonal produce. It’s also a great way to add nutrition to your meals without putting in too much effort. In case you haven’t heard me say this lately: don’t underestimate the power of “standard” produce. You don’t need to spend an arm and a leg on superfoods as they’ve been marketed to tap into a plethora of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients.
Today we’re featuring Chinese broccoli, also known as Gai Lan (it has a few other names as well). They’re excellent for stir fry and ramen because of how they soak up flavours. If you’ve not had this before, and generally enjoy broccoli, it is a MUST try. Kid two says it has so much amazing broccoli flavour (he’s a broccoli fan BTW).
