I just love being able to purchase a wide range of seasonal produce. It’s also a great way to add nutrition to your meals without putting in too much effort. In case you haven’t heard me say this lately: don’t underestimate the power of “standard” produce. You don’t need to spend an arm and a leg on superfoods as they’ve been marketed to tap into a plethora of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients.
Today we’re featuring Chinese broccoli, also known as Gai Lan (it has a few other names too). They’re excellent for stir fry and ramen because of how they soak up flavours. If you’ve not had this before, and generally enjoy broccoli, it is a MUST try. Kid two says it has so much amazing broccoli flavour (he’s a broccoli fan btw).
