Are you the type that sees ripening bananas and thinks to make banana bread? The Papa is. I’m the type to make ice cream instead. With ripening bananas on the table that I didn’t want to see wasted, I decided to make the kids a simple and tasty, dairy free banana ice cream.
What I love about mr ice cream recipes is that they’re also vegan friendly (remember how I’m always going on about the language we use in the food allergy and special diet world?) The vegans have coined a phrase- NiceCream. I like it 🙂 So let’s get to making Banana NiceCream.
This recipe, like all of the other ice cream recipes on RAISE, this recipe uses an ice cream machine with a built in compressor. There are several other ways to ice cream. Use the method that you’re most comfortable with. I’ve settled with an ice cream machine with a compressor because I’ve found it to be the best way to get consistent free-from results.
