Some would argue I have no business talking about budgets 🙂 A few years ago we calculated that our grocery bill was $32,000… That’s a car. A nice one, perhaps a vehicle with a sun roof.
However, we are fully aware that there’s a huge need for budget control. Here’s the part of the story I generally forget to tell people: when we spent that money, we WERE budgeting (in addition to recipe development). Each week I carefully selected what we would consume. Yet, when you have 4 kids, each with specific medical/dietary needs, you don’t always have a choice to eat beans and rice each night.
