Today we’re going to be looking at making a corn free tart shell. This is a foundational recipe for many of the pastry recipes I share here on RAISE. One thing to keep in mind: we’re making a corn free version that I can touch. There are lots of pastry shell recipes available online. Most will contain wheat, gluten, and/or eggs.
This recipe is not only corn free, but gluten free, vegan, and top 8/9 allergy free. In fact, it’s also top 14 allergy free! Yay us!!
I’ve had a wide range of people sample this tart shell and no one has complained. In fact, everyone has enjoyed it. This shell is also freezer friendly FYI.
However, they don’t have a point of comparison. I say that to say this: if you have a point of reference, I don’t know how this shell holds up. What I can tell you is that people without food allergies have enjoyed it, and all of the pastry creations I’ve made have been VERY well received.
