The New Primal Snacks Meat Sticks Product Review

The New Primal Snack Mates Meat Sticks by The Allergy Chef

Only Kids Three and Four are able to sample these products. I’m sure you’re going to love what they have to say.

This is the allergen information I received from The Primal Kitchen

MEAT STICKS: The production facility that makes our dry seasoning blends for the MEAT STICKS includes these items: “made in facility with milk, eggs, soy, tree nuts.”

BEEF JERKY/THINS: The production facility that makes our BEEF JERKY/THINS has a mix of allergens including soy, wheat, milk, fish, tree nuts, peanuts, mustard, and sulfites. NOTE: The brine for the jerky and thins is made on site and therefore contains the same allergen statement as the facility it is produced in.

SEASONINGS: The production facility that makes our SEASONINGS has a mix of allergens including dairy, wheat, tree nuts (pine nuts, coconut, hazelnut), and soy.

The only testing we do after final production is for gluten to ensure our products are gluten-free.

The New Primal Snack Mates Kids Chicken & Maple Meat Sticks

Upon opening the bag, it smelled like nail polish, or paint… strange.

Kid Three: (smells the bag) Now I feel uncomfortable. (takes a small bite). This meat stick isn’t bad. It’s what I expected it to be. I would eat this quite regularly. (continues to eat) This is more filling than I expected it to be. I could easily eat three of these at once.

Kid Four: It smells like a dog treat… (takes a bite) *thumbs up* It’s good. This isn’t too salty, and it’s well flavored. However, I don’t really taste the maple.

The New Primal Snack Mates Kids Turkey Meat Sticks

The bag once again smells like nail polish, but with a hint of flatulence. The meat sticks smell nice though.

Kid Three: The other flavor tasted like a meat stick, where this one tastes like actual beef jerky. I don’t mind how soft these are because of my braces. I’d eat this flavor regularly too. Overall, these are really good and I like this brand a lot.

Kid Four: This flavor is kind of gross and somewhat spicy. Usually jerky is hard so this isn’t super jerky to me. I would not eat this flavor regularly.

Final Thoughts:

Since this review, I purchase these for the kids from time to time. They seem to enjoy them, and I love the size. If you have young kids, this is a great alternative to standard jerky which can be tough to eat.
