Solely Whole Fruit Gummies Mango and Guava

Gluten Free, Vegan, Sugar Free, Top 8 Allergy Free Solely Gummies by The Allergy Chef

These whole fruit gummies from Soleyly are such an interesting new product. Overall, their company is organic produce focused. They have a range of options for those who are looking for added-sugar-free packaged snacks. Solely has even made a dried pasta option for those looking for something new to try.

Interestingly, after purchasing these whole fruit gummies, we found out there’s also an orange flavoured version of this product. Now, let’s see what the kids had to say about these. RAISE Members, be sure you’re logged in to view more details on ingredients and allergens.

Kid Three will be sitting out of this sampling today we we’ve learned he has some oral-based reactions to a lot of fruit. Yes, we’re investigating OAS 🙂

Solely Organic Whole Fruit Gummies Guava Flavour Review

The Papa: I like this. It’s fruit, it’s gummy, but also not too sweet, it’s just right. I will say, the package was hard for us to open, so parents may need to pre-open it a bit if sending it to school with a little kid.

Kid Two: This is not like most gummies. There’s no gelatin or gelling agent from what I can tell. It’s not like a jello… it’s more like fruit leather, in a good way.

Kid 4: I like it. It tastes like dried guava, and it’s what I would have expected. Kid Four also fed some to her guinea pig who apparently loved it.

Solely Organic Whole Fruit Gummies Mango Flavour Review

The Papa: This reminds me of the texture of a Zego bar. It’s not exactly the same, but in that same type of bar type of texture. It’s good, though I may like the guava better.

Kid 2: This is my fave!! It tastes like dehydrated mango flesh in a good way. It’s also like the guava in that it’s like a fruit leather that’s been rolled up and compressed.

Kid 4: This is good. It’s actually better than dehydrated mango.

My Thoughts

The great news is that Kids 2 and 4 split the snacks in their bins, so these are clearly winners. At the end of each sampling, everyone’s able to take what they like, and sometimes, some products don’t find a home with the kids.

I really appreciated Kid Two’s compressed description, as it helped me understand the product better. Given how much I don’t like purchasing organic gummy snacks, I’ll be buying more of these. With the popular brands, it’s all forms of sugar. Tapioca syrup or rice syrup are usually the first ingredients, and most organic gummies contain multiple forms of sugar. The thing is, even when you’re eating refined sugar free, if there are 3 forms of sugar in the product, it’s still sugar. The body doesn’t say, oh, it’s XYZ, I won’t give you a glucose spike.

You’re still getting the spike. Sometimes it’s lower, depending on the sugar, and I will say, you’re usually getting some vitamins and minerals with an RSF option since it’s not been processed to a white stage. Yet, it’s still sugar. I could talk about this for ages, but I won’t keep you. Just know that I was impressed that these are legit whole fruit products which sits better for me than a typical gummy snack product.

Also, The Papa was not kidding. The package is HARD to open.
