The whole family was SO happy to devour these top 8 allergy free smash burgers and I was just giddy the whole time. An easy egg free smash burger recipe has been on my to-do list for a while now, and the recipe below is a real winner.
What Makes It a Smash Burger?
You may have seen the term smash burger online. Both burgers and smash burgers are delicious. When you make a smash burger, you start with a hot pan (which you should be doing anyway), and place a scoop (NOT a pre-formed patty) of your burger mix down. Using a large metal spatula, you smash it into a thin patty. If you’ve ever been to In-n-Out Burger, their patties are pretty thin.
You’ll want to apply pressure on your smash burger for a bit to ensure it holds its thin shape well. Beyond that, there’s no other huge difference between a burger and a smash burger. The Papa prefers a thin smash burger style rather than a thick juicy burger.
