The cool people at Cappello’s sent us a huge gift box with pizza and other goodies for the kids to try. I think it’s safe to say Kid Three is a Cappello’s pizza fan for life. You guys should have seen how excited he was for all the extra swag that was in the box. Today we’re sharing reviews for their pizza flavors which I’m silly excited about.
Cappello’s shared with us that their pasta is made on exclusive equipment whilst the pizza is made with a copacker. Their products are great for three people in our home, and you’ll need to check with them before trying the pizza options.
Cappello’s Grain Free Margherita Pizza Review
The Papa: It’s good. I think it needed some meat for my personal enjoyment. The crust was good and the edge is crispy. The middle of the crust is soft and the toppings are wonderful. The pizza overall is smooth and complimentary. When compared to a conventional crust, it’s close. Generally, I’d eat it. They seem well priced, especially for specialty diets, and I could see us purchasing this for Kid Three.
Kid Three: I love this! It’s not my fave of the flavours, but, I still really enjoyed their pizza.
Kid Four: This pizza is good. I loved the texture and the ingredients they put on it. I liked how it was nice and cheesy (and the stretchy property). I love their pizza, it’s really good.

Cappello’s Grain Free Italian Sausage Pizza Review
The Papa: This pizza is really good. You don’t notice it’s gluten free. I would call it a thin crust (kids disagree, they’re saying thin crust is more like crackers which this isn’t). Toppings are all well done and blended together nicely. For the record, the crust is yummy.
Kid Three: We should get more of these pizzas. I don’t mind how soft the crust is. The meat on this pizza is amazing. I also like the tomatoes on top. The cheese is great and I really like this pizza. It does taste a little “gluten free” to me but I don’t mind. I’d happily eat more.
Kid Four: The flavors all go together really well. I like how soft the crust is. It’s so good I really do want all of this pizza for myself.

Cappello’s Grain Free White Pizza Review
The Papa: **Takes a GIGANTIC bite** “Kid Two: His mouth is bigger on the inside” 😂😂
That’s delish!! Yeah, that’s delish. It’s all wonderful. Even though the crust is thin, it’s done right. The cheese and seasonings blend so well together.
Kid Three: The onions make it soooo good! It’s official, I LOVE ALL OF THEIR PIZZAS.
Kid Four: This pizza is really good. I love Cappello’s, BUT, after having the non-dairy Miyokos cheese, I miss it. This one IS stringy and authentically cheesy but the Miyoko’s cheese had so much flavour. However, I’m so in love with this brand. They always do such a great job. I’d happily eat a lot more of their pizzas.

My Thoughts on Cappello’s Pizza
I love the clean ingredients Cappello’s offers. They’re also hitting a very specific market: people who are gluten and/or grain free but who still want animal products. It’s more common these days to see a gluten free/vegan combination, but not grain free + meat combination, at least where pizza is concerned.
The truth is, Kid Three can eat a whole pizza on his own. Depending on your budget, that may make the price of the pizza feel steep. However, if you were to take him to a restaurant, you’d probably be spending more on the meal (and the ingredients won’t be as clean). Honestly, I’m OK paying the price, and for a lot of mixed reasons.
I also thought Kid Four’s comparison of dairy and dairy free cheese was so interesting. For those who are looking for a bigger flavour punch, use the Cappello’s Naked Pizza Crust and pair it with your fave toppings and cheese.
For what it is, I’m more than happy to purchase more of these pizzas for him in the future. HAPPY. In fact, it’s on my shopping list for the next time I head out.
