Kid Four was rather skeptical when I said this is what I’d be making. Given the needs of the bakery, the kids haven’t been exposed to many major-allergen-containing recipes (to keep the kitchen free-from). Now that the bakery has closed, I wanted to look at recipes that contain some major allergens, but put my own twist on them.
When Kid Four finally sampled this, she was blown away. She said “I think you’re the only person I know who could take basically a peanut caramel sauce and make it taste good with chicken.” From that child, that is a serious compliment. So, I hope you enjoy this one as much as she does.
Do I Need a Dutch Oven?
For today’s recipe, yes, you’re going to need a Dutch Oven to replicate. my results. Alternatively, a good heat conducting pot that’s oven safe can be used. This recipe is not cooked on the stove top 100%, so you will need something oven safe.
