Easy Gluten Free Dairy Free Mac n Cheese by The Allergy Chef

I feel like this is something I’ve shared before, but never in an official RAISE capacity. Well, that’s all about to change. Today, we’ll be sharing with you Blender Cheese, the most amazing way to make gluten free, dairy free Mac n Cheese EVER (especially if you’re dairy free). Honestly, after making this for the first time several years ago, we never looked back. I hope this video sets your mac n cheese love free. Free to eat and enjoy whenever you please.

In today’s video we used dairy free cheese that contains coconut. All commercially available dairy free cheese contains either major, or less common allergens. You’ll need to choose what’s right for you.

While there’s no official recipe (we explain in the video), today we used about 15 ounces of dairy free cheese in total. Our general go-to is all about the ratios:

  • 12 – 15 ounces of cheese (depends on the blend
  • 3 – 4 TBSP Dairy Free Butter
  • Enough DF Milk to keep the blender running, which is about “covering half the cheese”
  • Unique season blend each time to match the mood

Remember, this is meant to Inspire you and give you the foundations to meet your needs and get creative in your kitchen.

Why No “Recipe”

Again, this is all about the technique and ratios. Unlike traditional mac and cheese, when you pop it all in your blender, you can almost never mess up. You don’t have to deal with questionable dairy free cheese melt, and all the other issues that come with dairy free cheese. The blender does ALL the work for you. You’re essentially making a cheese sauce based on your needs and desires.

You can choose how thick or think you’d like your sauce by altering the amount of milk you add. You can also choose the creaminess level by altering the dairy free butter amount. Additionally, you get to choose the seasonings: savory, sweet, bbq, Italian, and more.

*Source the right cheese for you, or make a faux veggie cheese at home in your blender.
Allium Free: We used garlic today, but you don’t need to. Use whatever seasonings you’d like.
